Learning to play padel at Varlion Academy
All about Varlion Academy.
Varlion Academy opens its new headquarters and reaffirms its commitment to the sport.
The Varlion Academy has been working for many years to create a globally unified training, using the best specialists and equipment, as well as a very thorough methodology. With the help of Varlion, the academy has changed the landscape of many affiliated clubs, providing them with education, materials and a new vision of teaching the game of padel.
The Varlion Academy aims to bring this unique concept to new clubs all over the world, giving them the added benefit of supporting a brand like Varlion.
What does the Varlion Academy offer?
Equipment: We equip the club’s instructors with Varlion equipment. Padel racquets, clothing, padel material… Everything they need to work on creating an incomparable image.
Updated training: the game of padel is evolving, and coaches need to evolve as well. At Varlion Academy we offer continuous training and the opportunity to join a community where other instructors and coaches share technical and tactical information. Courses, clinics, workshops and refresher courses for coaches, trainers, physical fitness instructors and psychologists.
Professional players: Opportunity to hire professional players to train at the club, as long as the head coach is certified to train at this level.
Varlion shop: Varlion Academy branches can open a Varlion Pro-Shop to sell Varlion products to their players.
Identification items: Give your club a more professional look than ever with a variety of identification items such as net covers or goal treads on the main courts.
Publicity: Varlion supports Varlion Academy member clubs in spreading the word about their events and tournaments, and in raising awareness through the media and professional players.
Varlion Academy’s new headquarters
The Varlion Academy has just opened its new headquarters at the Giguerón Resort in Málaga, Spain. This headquarters will be run by professionals of the highest calibre and will be a high performance centre for the best players in the world. Jorge Cardenas will be the technical director and Javi Cardenas will be responsible for management and promotion.
In addition to the Cárdenas brothers, the academy employs a team of professionals in areas such as psychology, nutrition and physical fitness, as well as highly qualified padel coaches.
New Varlion Academy branches will be able to open, with the prior approval of the International Management Committee, in various cities around the world. The head office will coordinate the work of the other branches, which will be able to enjoy all of the aforementioned benefits, subject to a number of commitments.
Jorge Cárdenas, director of Varlion Academy, tells us more about the project:
“The Varlion Academy was born out of a need to train coaches abroad. The game of padel is growing all over the world, but in many countries there are not enough qualified coaches to meet the growing demand. Our plan is to open various Varlion Academies around the world with the support of the Varlion brand manufacturer to equip coaches, court equipment and distribute materials.”
“Within Warlion Academy there will be different levels, depending on the training of coaches, from the most amateur to professional, who will be able to work with players with scholarships from the brand itself. Our aim is ambitious: in five years’ time we want to open more than 100 academies around the world and have at least one or two branches in each country, able to train promising new players and work with the best national players,” explains Jorge Cardenas.
